#WhyITribe I started my Iron Tribe journey almost five months ago when I was at a breaking point. I was one consult away from spine surgery which was not really an option for me as a single parent of two young children. The years of army physical fitness had taken a toll on my reconstructed knee and herniated disks. Plus I had gradually added extra pounds over the years due to my sedentary lifestyle of pain and survival. Every time I would start a new exercise program, I would eventually experience so much pain that I’d have to stop and do therapy. I was successful in recent years with diet alone, but my pains still existed. So much so that I was having random sporadic nerve paint that would fire off down my legs at any given time multiple times per day. I am not a medication person and I have learned to live with a high pain tolerance. There came a point in my life where I thought I would just have to learn to live with it.
So fast forward four months... I’ve put my trust in the Lord above to help me be a Stronger Woman-now I am a #IronTribe addict. It’s hard to put into words how this programming helps me to be so committed and dedicated to great health and a fit lifestyle. It’s definitely the coaches, other Tribers, quick 45 prescheduled classes 3-6 times per week, and a variety of exercises (no need to think about what you need to do at the gym). You can checkout your mind and turn your body over to the excellent coaching team who guides the way through every exercise. Initially, I needed modified programming, but I was able to do the regular routine much quicker than I ever thought I could do. I was skeptical in my beliefs that I would make it this far without an aggravated injury. My body is making changes for the better as I gain tremendous amounts of lean muscle that is visually apparent and makes me feel like a new woman. My nerve and back pain is minimized—I am drug and therapy free- my outlook on life is supercharged with no gloomy and pain filled days.
I have further refined my nutrition for me and family, I think out my meal plans each week to make sure I don’t slip, I’ve recruited two friends to try it out during the New Years Challenge, and I’m side by side with other everyday people who face their own challenges. When I miss a day, I crave a double workout. It’s truly a fantastic addiction that allows me not to feel guilty about putting myself first. We are #StrongerTogether and #ITF_Champions and #IronTribeFitness is helping me to set realistic and achievable goals with some amazing people. I’m a Triber for life!
